I, the breeder, reserve the right to retain any/all kids born that I feel would benefit my herd. I keep a waiting list of everyone interested in reserving a future goat kid. It is free. One can be on a waiting list for any pairing. However, my list is organized in a first-come first-serve basis. That is, if you are the first person to contact me and get on my waiting list, you will have first choice of kids born, depending on what you originally made reservations for. For more information about reservations, see my FAQ's page. Once kid(s) are born, I require a deposit to hold them until pick-up. Deposits are non-refundable, but can be moved to a future kidding. Deposits can be paid via check (depending on the timing), cash, or paypal. Kid(s) must be picked up by mutually agreed-upon date between breeder/buyer. Remaining balance for goat is due upon pickup in cash only (unless otherwise arranged). My kids do not go home younger than 4 weeks old unless with their dams. Kids older than 4 weeks can go home as long as they take a bottle, and the new owner is prepared to bottle-feed them. Kids are usually weened off milk and eating hay by 8 weeks, and if picked up at that age don't need to be bottle-fed, but still can be if the owner wishes for bonding. ANY RESERVED KID NOT PICKED UP BY 10 WEEKS OLD WILL BE OFFERED FOR SALE AGAIN WITH NO REFUND ON THE DEPOSIT (unless otherwise arranged). Only breeding quality kids will be offered with registration. My kids can be registered with either AGS or ADGA (or both), though I primarily use AGS. I am very picky with which bucklings I let go registered/intact. These kids should be very nice, out of my favorite herdsire (who tends to throw really well-attached udders and overall good conformation/temperament/flash), and out of one of my best, most productive does (who regularly kids triplets with no issues, milks well, has a good udder, and is friendly). This will probably be Monkey's last kidding, as she is getting older now. These kids should be nice kids with very strong milk genetics. Their dam is one of my best milkers (along with Melody) who is still holding together well at 8+ years old- the ultimate test of longevity! Their sire Kai is the son of a remarkable doe who at one point in her life was only about 61lbs away from breaking the Nigerian Dwarf milk production record! This breeding is a repeat of last year's, since I am really impressed not only with how Ella freshened (her udder/milk production is wonderful; she is a Zach baby!), but also with how beautiful her kids were (hopefully I get a girl this time though, ha, ha!). Cerulean, the sire, is a very handsome buck with lots of dairy wrinkles, moonspots, and blue eyes! He seems to be making well-put-together kids with great conformation. Milk, color, and good looks/personality in one package? Yes please! :) Breeder may retain a kid. Jade is an overall good-looking doe with good conformation and a beautiful udder (another Zach daughter....noticing a trend? ;) ). Jade is a pro at kidding un-assisted, in fact, I've tried to catch her in labor, but she sneaks them in in spite of my best efforts! :) Kai is a handsome buck with a almost legendary pedigree, who is giving me beautiful kids!
